Are you a cat person or a dog person?

Personally, I prefer cats over dogs. Although, I do love both.

I voted neither cause even though I never share my home with less than two dogs, I do love'em all! Allergies/asthma prevent me from ever living with a cat, but I still love them to pieces. Sometimes I take extra asthma meds and antihistamines so I can help out at my friend's kitty rescue... hope that doesn't sound too crazy.

Neither because I'm both. I have 6 cats and 1 dog. I'd have more dogs if I lived in a larger space.

I'm definitely a cat person. I love doggies, but I don't think I want to share my home with one.

Yeah, what qetta said! I love other people's dogs. Actually, I'm slightly allergic to cats, but if I rinse my hands after petting them and don't let them onto my bed I seem to be OK.

I'm highly allergic to cats. Were it not for that I'd probably be a cat person.

I'm a cat person--always have been. Right now I have a cat who cannot seem to get close enough to me. It's not enough that she's lying on my arm as I type; she will eventually move toward my face, trying to meld with me. I don't know what I've done to deserve this adoration!

I'm not enough of a leader to make a dog happy--am I mistaken or do dogs feel more comfortable in a structured, follow-the-leader type environment? But like Emiloid and qetta, I love other people's dogs, just don't want one of my own. I like to think of myself as a "doggie aunt".

Can I change my "neither" vote?

I feel sorry for all the poor doggies!

Dog breath is great if it's from your dog! I don't like other dog's breath and I'd never pick eye boogers from another dog, but if they're from my dogs I don't mind. I think it's like having kids... parents probably wouldn't wipe snot from someone elses kid's nose, but they do for their kiddies.

I agree! Bunny's breath just smells warm, moist, and clean!

Well... Fozzy's breath does actually smell atrocious, but I love it anyway just cause it's him.

He pants a lot and I've had friends sitting all the way across the room from him comment on how nauseating it is.

Poor Fodders...

I love dogs and cats just the same. I take care of five kitties, and would love to share my home with a couple of dogs too, but I don't have a yard for them to play in. I also don't really wanna get up early to take the doggie out to do his or her business every morning. I'm not a morning person.
