The matriarco/bluemango Portland trip

Hey, Portland VRFers. bluemango and I will be in Portland in August with our mother and brother. I'll be there from thi 14th through the 23rd and everyone else will be there the 17th through the 25th, I think (bluemango?).

It'd be great to meet up with whoever's around. Also, I could use some tips on good, cheap places to stay for the three days I'll be there on my own.

You're a wonderful person, gladcow. Mr Q have been thinking about a road trip in August before school starts for him, so let us plan and think, think and plan. We'd love to meet up with some VRFers.

Since everyone insists on coming to Portland instead of Seattle, even though Seattle is far superior, I suppose I will once again drive to Portland just to meet a VRFer IRL.

Well, Miso, the terminus of our semi-intended road trip was Seattle...but nothing has been decided yet. And I don't want to hijack the thread.

Imagine my surprise when I saw my name in a thread title!

I am so excited for our trip to Portland, and I can't wait to meet all you VRFers!! You'll also get to meet our mom and brother. I think mama mango and I are getting in to portland on the 17th and leaving the 24th, and matriarco's schedule is slightly different. It's the first vacation we've been on since we drove to Atlanta when I was 12 to see our uncle play Jesus in the Passion Play... I'm thinking this will be much more fun!!!
