Easter at Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary

Hey all you Oregonians! Come with me (and MissLovely) to Easter (http://www.lighthousefarmsanctuary.org/news/2006/05-easter.html) at Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary (http://www.lighthousefarmsanctuary.org/)! The event is going to be from 1 pm - 3 pm on Sunday, April 16. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt and the "eggs" will have treats inside for the animals. Cost is $5 per family. Yay!

The LovelyFamily and Gladcow Herd went to the Easter Celebration at Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary yesterday. It was a lot of fun! No rain, TONS of people. I got to feed a cow! I must admit, I was very taken with the pig. Oh so cute (and huge)! We saw (and fed) horses, mules, chickens, sheep, goats, pig, cows, ducks, llamas. Afterward the LovelyFamily came over and we ate and ate and ate and gossiped. Good times :D

We had the best time ever! My little girl was so happy that the pig ate her "carrot," which was really a peice of celery, but whatever. I'm still reeling with joy. Thanks for taking care of us gladcow!

I came home on Saturday and found a gift bag my landlord had left hanging on my doorknob. He gave me a giant chocolate bunny and a card. Aww! Not vegan, but whatever. I wouldn't have eaten it, anyway - it's my first one ever! :silly:
