By the vegan power invested in moi, I humbly suggest Sunday afternoon, at Chez Quagga, at 5pm.

Please let me know, by hook or by crook, by VRF or email, if you plan to attend.

AND, I'm thinking as an added bonus, since it's supposed to not rain on Sunday, of doing a little local birding earlier on Sunday -- 1ish or 2ish. Let me know if you're interested. Maybe we'll spot that Emperor Penguin again.

You know, it's funny you would mention that. I just saw him in town recently. I was getting cash from the ATM and he was waddling across the street! It was a king penguin though, not an emperor. :umm: I'm not THAT lucky.

Well done, Chico Vegans! No pics, but a nice crowd, I swear. ;)

In attendance:

Seitanic Vegan with an delectable portobello mushroom saute over brown rice
Walrusd + friend with an excellent mac n cheeze casserole and wonderful choco chop cookies
Emiloid with a savory wild rice casserole with many nuts, and hand-picked, home-cured olives
Spasticastic with an excellent gravel dessert that resembled date-almond-rice krispie treats (can't eat just one...)
Quagga proffered lentil soup/stew/chowder, tossed salad, various beverages

Thank you all for coming and sharing. It was a blast, as always, and in many ways more enjoyable than going out to eat. We'll do it again next month or sooner!
