Why did you go vegan : Always had a vegetarian lean, but I finally had someone to teach me how to eat, and deal with pressure, and complain to about cravings, etc... It wasn't for the animals at the time, though I did hate what little I knew about. Realized more and more that vegan was healthier.

NickName: you can call me flower if you want to ;)

Age: 22

Sex: female

Part of the world: washington dc

Why did you go vegan: couldn't imagine eating my kitties, so eating meat didn't make sense

What are your favourite vegan sites: this one, of course

Status ie married, single: single, yet again

Favourite colour: red and pink (which is kind of just a type of red)

Favourite movie: dark crystal and the neverending story (i'm the girl version of bastian)

Favourite food: anything with potatoes

Favourite recipy and can you share it: greatest mashed potatoes in the world...boil a bunch of potatoes until soft (i leave the skins on) and then drain them, reserving the starchy water. chop up as much garlic as you can stand and fry it up in a ridiculous amount of olive oil (i add fresh herbs to this sometimes). add the oil, garlic, some of the reserved water, sea salt, and fresh cracked pepper and mash until creamy. the key is to use as much olive oil as possible. i'll use up to a cup of olive oil for one bowl (about 4 potatoes). low fat is for losers. :p

Would you like a pen pal do you want to be pm: i'm not opposed to the idea

What do you do: right now? not much. i read, cook, listen to music, talk (and sing and whistle) to my cats, work on my garden, sleep as much as possible. if i get accepted, i'll be transferring to a new university in the fall (it'll be my fifth college!) to work on my psychology degree. i'm going to get a new job soon (really, i am). honestly, i probably spend most of my time daydreaming.

five words that sum you up: i'm a soul in limbo (yeah, i stole that from a book)

your favourite band or soloist: it's really hard to pick one but i guess i'll go with autechre since i can listen to their music over and over again and it always moves me.

Cook until eggplant is done to your liking.

1/4 cup chopped fresh/ 4 teaspoons dried parsley

1 tablespoon fresh/1 teaspoon dried dill
