Donald lived to an amazing age and spent 61 of those 95 years as a vegan andthe 20 before that as a vegetarian. What I would like to know is how he coped back in 1944 when he first formed the vegan society when their was no soya milk or tofu about and things such as vegan cheese and ice cream would surly not have existed. Evan being a vegetarian in those days must have been difficult with their being food rasions. I did'nt know that Donald had invented the word Vegan and had got it from the first 3 and last 2 letters of vegetarian.
