i wasn't sure where to put this, but i think this is the best peta advocacy promotion ever. it's straightforward and uses a 'celebrity' spokesperson that actually seems informed. kfc, that's foul!

Here is a link to the video on PETA. (http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=sharpton_long&feat=sharpton_long&pos=fp1) You could probably read more on PETA's website: www.peta.org.

Ah cool. Its too bad Sharpton is a nut-job with no creditbility. But maybe he'll reach some people.

why do you say that? i'm not familiar with his career, but i like the man.

Mainly the Tawana Bradley (http://www.who2.com/alsharpton.html) case, which to this day he refuses to admit was a hoax. Plus, he's had affairs, had dubious financial dealings, and the usual lot of all politicians and overly-religious orators. I don't like hypocrites. He did make some very good points in his run for president, but I find it hard to overlook the rest.

give the man a break. even gandhi refused his wife penicilin, effectively killing her, then took pharmaceuticals himself only weeks later. and we don't know the details or even the truth necessarily. we know media hyperbole.

here's the most important part of that article: Since then Sharpton has refashioned himself as a mature spokesman for the downtrodden.

here's the most important part of that article:

He was asked directly about the Roberts case on tv during the election run up and he again refused the truth. That's not giving someone a break. That's a dangerous fallacy in order to promote (more) racial division than this country already has.

Being that he is both a public religious and political figure, the commission of both criminal and immoral acts are good cause for me to not give him a break, its not like these are events from 30 years ago.

I've already said he has some good ideas, but they don't outweight his general lack of credibility, as far as I am concerned. You are free to feel differently.
