Um, that's pretty mean, indeed. And who wants to play a game like that?

I suppose though, people who see nothing wrong with hooking a fish through its lip would see grabbing a lobster with a crane as child's play.

And everyone knows that lobsters are boiled alive, and still have no problem eating them, so i guess tormenting them before they die is no biggie to them.

Such a shame each time we are confronted with how low and twisted most humans have become.

This is one of the hardest things to deal with when we visit Maine. There's a lobster shack every mile, especially near the coast.

"The game's inventor counters that Lobster Zone has become very popular"

So what? Does that make it any less sadistic? The point is not is it popular, but whether it diminishes the sacredness of life.

The scantily-clad stiletto-heeled model should clue you in to the mindset of the people purveying this thing. Oh, and didja notice? The site is "Center for Consumer Freedom", a food industry front group posing as a "citizen" group opposing food regulation.

Not just a food industry group, they oppose anything that is not ultra right wing.
If you go to this page of theirs:http://www.consumerfreedom.com/activistcash/
you can click on activist groups and see who they take issue with. It's kind of a hoot cause if you click on almost any group and read what they have to say, they do a better job of making the case FOR instead of AGAINST the group.

This is not your father's Sierra Club. Some of its leadership positions are held by activists with radical ties and even violent criminals. The Club has done well preserving a "mainstream" image, despite its increasingly radical bent. jesus christ.

I watched an Italian movie of which I cannot recall the title. Anyway, she (the main character) was a chef, and was talking about how she can't believe there are people who still boil lobsters alive. She goes on about how it's the worst possible death anyone could experience. It really is phenomanl that people don't realize they could stab the poor little buggers in the neck at least, before throwing them in the pot. (Or not eat them at all, but...)
Vending machines for catching lobster is in even worse taste. People are so gross.
