i am not that much older than u so don't think u are too young i think it is very hard at this age to be differant . do you have suportive parents or "just a phase you cannot live on rabit food parents"?
They're not really supportive, and my brother makes fun of me and says that if I don't give him money he'll eat meat until he's stuffed, and that's really mean. But I'll continue being a vegan still no matter what. What about you?

Welcome Jane! You're not too young for the forums, no worries. ;)
Congrats on sticking to your guns on the vegan issue. It can be very difficult when you've got family who doesn't support your decision. On the upside, I think you'll find plenty of support here! :D
thanks, you're all so nice.

Welcome, Jane!
It's refreshing to see such strong convictions in a person as young as yourself. :)

Hi Jane, welcome :)
How old is your brother? it must be horrible to be blackmailed like that. :worried:
I don't think anyone is too young to start thinking for themselves, and I haven't seen too much on here that's unsuitable for anyone to read whatever their age, though I guess some of the links to cases of animal cruelty are pretty depressing.
But there's plenty of cheery stuff too.
Hooray for you and welcome :D

welcome and well done for making such sound decisions despite your brother. Parents do come round eventually when they realise it's not just a phase. Hang in there.

Welcome! I doubt you're too young for VRF, but be prepared to cover your eyes at times... we can get rather candid--although I don't think anyone crosses the line into truly inappropriate or offensive conversation. The worst you'll probably read is no worse than what you might hear or read in Health class. :)
It's great that you are committed to veganism at a relatively young age. I wish I'd switched earlier, but I was just recently exposed to the information that made me go vegan.
As for your brother, if you ignore him he'll probably stop. In the meantime, by stuffing his face with meat he might start to actually get tired of it, or even disgusted by it. It's gross and disturbing, but basically, it's his problem--don't pay him! Tell him you're saving the money that you would otherwise have given him and you're going to donate it to EarthSave or PETA or something. Turn those tables!
