Hi, I'm Nina, and I've been vegan for a few months now. I've been wanting to go vegetarian for SOOOO long (personal and health reasons) but was told by many that meat was a dietary necessity. But luckily, I found out that they are all wrong, and stopped eating meat :D

Then, speaking to my voice teacher one day, I was talking how I was always so tired and couldn't get up in the morning. He asked if I have any known food allergies, such as gluten or dairy. I said no, but through my own detective work realized that I must be allergic to dairy. I gave it up for 2 weeks, and "WHOA!!!" I felt like a whole new person! Now I will never go back, I have so much more energy, and finally feel like I'm doing something for ME.

Hi gang,

I finally went cold tofurkey and quit all meat and dairy in one fail swoop. Looking forward to a healthier me. I'd avise any aspiring female health nut to read Skinny Bitch. Great no-nonsense straight talk about the health benefits of a plant-based diet. I was vegetarian for 8 years and fell off the wagon for stupid reasons. Despite being married to a carnivore, I am slipping more veggies into his food and hope to convert him in due time. :chef:Wish me luck!:D
