Hey, I'm Tina, a 32 year vegetarian and 2 year vegan. When I was about 7 my pet pig ended up our dinner and I got the pleasure :( of seeing him hanging from a tree. That cured me immediately to eating my friends. Since then, I have done research for my book, published, "The Fast Food Craze, Wreaking Havoc on Our Bodies and Our Animals", and learned the truth about the way these precious creatures are treated for dairy and eggs and went totally vegan.
I am and have been on a mission to open the eyes of the public to these horrendous cruelties, and have promoted the heck out of my book. I also host a radio show on Global Talk Radio, called Wake Up America which is doing quite well. I've had John Robbins, Dr. John McDougall and a lot of other 'greats' in the movement on and have changed the lives of many people, I'm happy to say.
Also, I've purchased a 10 acre ranch in No. Az. so that eventually I can start saving some of these farm animals. I want to start a sanctuary, after the book promotion and radio show slow down a bit!
Glad to be part of this great forum. I hope we can all do more to help these animals together!
