Hi boards... I'm a 19 year old woman vegan... I'm a second generation vegan I suppose, my parents are both long term vegans and generally life-long vegetarians so this is my life. That's not to say I'm not passionate since it is all I know, quite the op. in fact. It's so second nature to me that I feel quite assaulted sometimes that there aren't more people in the Real World such as it is who think as I, we, do. Still, I have love for all because we are all at different stages, and anger is never focused for if it were would be nothing but Ego. Love and Light to all... Rock on...

Thanks PD but you know I sort of envy having that big BANG moment where it hits you, that must be powerful and soul wrenching to experience :)

I had a big bang transform to vegetarian moment, but nothing similar when I went vegan, just a slow change to compassion.

Have you ever tried eating meat/dairy/eggs? If so how was that experience? Did you ever watch meat your meat, or anything to help further cement your beliefs?

Thanks alot for the welcome, everyone.
Chijou thanks for the interest, the attention is loverly   I've never eaten meat that I know of, apart from once as a child when apparently some crazy woman fed me some crazy dip that had fish in it? weird. Parents were not pleased. I don't remember it! I've seen most of the Lib Vids, Meet Your Meat, Earthlings etc :) They're really moving and devastating to me. As far as I know I will never eat meat, or be a vegetarian. Meat is just foul to me. The films just make me want to be a stronger activist.
Oh, I've had honey a few times, we didn't eat it at home and I rebelled with it when I was younger... LOL!
Emiloid, it's just the way I get sometimes :D I was worried it may offend people after I signed it - not my intent
Thanks guys

Wow that's great CrazyEyes! Thanks for sharing, I admire you and your parents. :D
I once had a friend feed me a chicken flavored cracker in 4th grade (I was vegetarian) and I spit it out . Some people are weird eh?

i love hearing about people who were raised vegetarian/vegan and have continued the lifestyle after it's become more their own choice than their parents. it gives me hope that when superhusband and i have some vegan bebbies they will stick with the life choice as well :)

Yeah me too!
CrazyEyes, I am so interested because I always wonder what's their secret, how your parents connected the issue with you so that you never questioned it (other than rebelling with honey ;))

Hey you're kids will be smoking hot vegans, that'll be good for the cause!
